Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026. This is a standard website policy for a free online game, not legal advice.

Checkerso, Inc. (“Checkerso,” “we,” or “us”) operates checkerso.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy describes what information is involved when you play. It is meant for a U.S. audience.

We do not require accounts

You can play without creating an account, signing in, or giving us your name or email. We do not currently run advertising on the Service, and we do not currently use third-party analytics cookies.

Information on your device

The game stores a small amount of data in your browser’s localStorage so play can continue on this device:

• free-play position, moves, and difficulty;
• today’s Daily puzzle progress;
• Daily win dates and days finished without a win;
• finished-game counts on this device;
• sound on or off.

That data stays in your browser unless you clear site data or localStorage for checkerso.com. We do not receive a copy of your daily results, stats, or board when you play. Clearing site data resets progress, daily results, and stats on that device.

Progressive web app

If you install Checkerso, a service worker may cache pages and assets on your device so the app can open faster. You can uninstall the app and clear cached files in your browser settings.

Hosting and technical logs

The Service is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most websites, requests pass through Cloudflare’s network. Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps in order to deliver and protect the site, under Cloudflare’s own terms and privacy policy. We do not use those logs to identify you as a player.

Cookies and ads

We do not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. If we add ads or similar third-party services later, we will update this policy before they go live.

Children

The Service is a general-audience checkers game. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

U.S. state privacy notices

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in U.S. state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not collect sensitive personal information to profile you. Because play is anonymous and device-local, we typically cannot fulfill access or deletion requests for a named person beyond what you can already do by clearing site data in your browser.

Your choices

You can stop using the Service at any time. You can clear checkerso.com data in your browser to remove localStorage and cached files. Blocking localStorage may keep the game from saving a daily result or a position.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
