Play 2 player checkers online with a friend
You can play checkers with a friend on Checkerso in two ways: online on two separate devices with a link, or by taking turns on one phone or laptop. Both are free, with no account and no download.
Start a game on the checkers home page, then open New game.
Play checkers online with a friend on two devices
- Open the checkers home page and choose New game, then Play a Friend.
- Send the link you get. It looks like checkerso.com/room/ followed by a short code. On phones that support it, the Share button sends it straight to a chat.
- Your friend opens the link in their browser. They do not need an account or an app.
- You play live. The player who created the game plays black and moves first; the friend plays white.
Your friend can be on a different kind of device: a phone against a laptop works. Both of you keep the page open while you play.
Play 2 player checkers on one device
Choose New game, then 2 Player (Same Device), and pass the phone or laptop back and forth. The board does not turn around: the side that moved first stays at the bottom, and the line above the board says whose turn it is.
Which games you can play with a friend
- Play a Friend online works on American checkers and on International draughts, the 10×10 game, including the German, French, and Dutch versions.
- 2 Player (Same Device) is in every draughts game except the Daily puzzle, and in Chinese checkers.
- There is no online friend room for Chinese checkers yet.
Can I play against a random opponent?
Checkerso does not match you with strangers. You play a friend you invite, or the computer, which has Easy, Medium, and Hard levels.
